What can I do on my turn, and in what order?
The designer set the Palette-then-Canvas order and one card for each; the rulebook lists the same options.

You may play one card from hand to your Palette, discard one from hand to the Canvas, or do both, in that order (Palette first, then Canvas). You must be winning at the end of the turn. Discarding first and then playing was allowed in an early ruling but replaced; the Palette-then-Canvas order is official. Both cards come from your hand.
