When is the five-crew limit enforced after I subdue a Jarl?
Only at the end of your turn, after Jarls and Valkyries resolve. You may briefly hold six crew, and you can then discard a crew member, including one that took wounds from the Jarl fight, to get down to five. The discard is not a kill and gives no Fame.
