How does Mimic copy abilities?

Mimic copies the ability of one of your ready people or an undamaged enemy person, and plays it as though Mimic has the ability, so you pay its cost and "this card" means the Mimic. It copies only the ability, not traits. Because you use Mimic first, a not-ready person of yours can't be copied, and using Mimic does not use the copied person up.
