What happens to start worlds that are dealt but not chosen when players choose their start world?
The designer clarified this directly; the base rulebook only covers the plain setup where unused start worlds are shuffled into the deck.

They go to the discard pile, the same as the two cards you discard from your opening deal. They are not shuffled back into the draw deck, although the base rulebook's plain setup does shuffle the undealt start worlds into the deck. The ruling is from the designer, who also notes that a table is free to house-rule otherwise.
