How do the preset starting hand cards work, and what do I do with them after the first game?

The small numbers in the card corners tie each card to the start world with the same number. After the first game, shuffle them into the deck with the other game cards and unused start worlds; they are ordinary cards, not set aside. A preset hand is your whole opening hand, so you draw nothing extra and discard nothing.
