If I overbuild an upgrade, do adjacency or corner bonuses pay out again?
Only for connections that are new. A connection pays once, so overbuilding cannot score a link whose halves were already used. If the neighbouring half was never used, the connection counts as new and pays now; a later wall that forms a fresh link also pays.
