How do power plant auctions work for companies in The Stock Companies?

Business rounds play like normal Power Grid. A company buys at most one plant per auction phase, may own three plants total (trashing one if it buys a fourth), and is out for the round if it passes on offering a plant. A president may have two of his own companies bid against each other. In Step 3 the smallest plant is removed and replaced each round.
