How does the Ransom Contract work in co-op?
The rulebook gives the cost, and one forum answer explains the payment; the designer only confirmed that Contracts can be completed on any player's turn.

Ransom exists only in the co-op game. One player pays 15 coins to complete it (the alternative is having 12 victory points), and the payment is not split between players. Like any Contract, it can be completed during Trade and Hire on anyone's turn.
