Can players make noise or signal during the night?
The designer explained the intent of the night-silence rule, and the rulebook says inactive players must not communicate.

No. The rulebook says players who are not active must not move, point or communicate, and the designer's intent is that nobody signals an active player or influences their choice, such as a Minion showing a thumb or a wolf pointing at someone during the Seer's turn. Avoid making noise too; the app's background sounds are the recommended cover, and anything you think you heard may be used as suspicion in the day.
