Every instance counts, however it happens: the main action, an Executive action, a Discovery tile, a Blueprint bonus or a turn order space. A boosted or multiple action advances the marker once per item, so three Blueprints from one action move it three spaces and give three Crystals. The A, B and C markers are only reminders of the usual action.
