Where do servants go after an activity, and where do hired or gained servants go?
The rulebook says used servants move to Expended Service and hired servants start there, and the designer cited the page.

At Clear Player Board, every servant used for the tile, guests or Servants' Hall goes to Expended Service; none stays on a tile (a Footman on the Carriage House goes too). Servants you hire or gain, from the Butler's Room or a VP card, are placed in Expended Service, so they are unavailable until rotated or refreshed.
