Can I invite a guest or host a tile whose prestige rating is above my reputation? Do family cards have a limit?
The rulebook's Critical Rule and Invite Guests note cover both, confirmed by the designer.
No, except on National Holiday, when the limits are lifted (the event does not reduce how many guests you must invite). A rating equal to your reputation is fine (the requirement is 'equal or higher'). Family cards and the Fairchilds can attend any activity as if their rating were 1, even though the number printed on the card is higher.
