Do I need my tiles flipped, or in a particular orientation, to count for an objective card?
No. Owning the tile is enough, whichever side is showing, unless the card says flipped. A tile's name does not change when it flips, and the picture on a card is only illustrative. A Suite counts as a monument for the Monument objective only once flipped to its monument side.
