Do I have to take favours in the order money, reputation, then invitations?
No. The designer says the order is only organisational: favours are not concurrent with the activity, so you can resolve them one at a time in any order, and a dismissal can remove a guest you just drew. The one limit is that once you have seen a hidden card, you cannot change the order. The rulebook describes a fixed order, which the designer dropped.
