The Victory Check still applies, so the Contamination check can kill survivors. The group wins if all Objectives are fulfilled and at least one Character survives. Objectives are shared and any player may complete them, but one like gaining 8 Knowledge requires the Character who fulfilled it to be alive at the end. Each separate Send the Signal objective needs a different Character to send it, and the sender need not survive.
