Does range count diagonals, board edges and Massive Boulders?

Range is measured in the number of moves to the target including diagonal spaces, so range 1 covers all eight neighbouring spaces. Board edges and Massive Boulders do not change the count; range still runs through them as if they were not there. Boulders and the edge still stop Ripsaw.
