Can you play Hero cards, Events, or hero attacks during the villain phase?

Only cards with a response or interrupt that matches a villain-phase trigger can be played from hand, and cards already in play can use their responses. Allies, upgrades and supports are played only in the hero phase, and actions cannot be taken during the villain phase.
