Can I play the Uprising modules solo against Jean, or must I use Jacques?
It depends on the module. The Freeing the Caribbean module (both of its scenario cards) needs Jacques because Jean cannot handle it. Unrest can be played solo against Jacques, who does not need all cubes removed to win. For the other modules Jean keeps her base-game rules: she ignores legacy tile L40 and always fights for a nation. If you use Jean with an Uprising scenario, use the solo board. Jacques was designed mainly for cooperative play, and the designer finds Jean the tougher opponent.
