When the story quest is fulfilled, when does the story card advance, and does it count if Jean takes the tile?
Several players agree and quote the rulebook, but there is no direct official ruling about Jean.
At the end of the round the player who took the story tile reads the reverse of the story card aloud, which tells you which card comes next and where the next story tile goes. If Jean takes a story tile (she treats it like any quest), the story advances at round end just the same, and winning or losing against Jean does not matter. Fulfilling the quest does not place new quests at once; the card does at round end.
