Each Orc Guard is a facedown player card standing in as a tiny engaged enemy (attack 1, defense 1, one hit point). It is dealt a shadow card and attacks like any enemy; once defeated, the card goes to its owner's discard pile. Mendor is freed when the first objective is claimed, before the captured hero.
