When building a store or Public Building, do I get the space's reward before paying?

Question

Accepted Answer

Yes — the reward on the land space is gained first and can help pay for the build. For a store you take the reward first, then a rubble cube, then pay the land price; for a Public Building you take the rubble cubes first and then the reward.
