When does the Queen Variant take effect?
When card 57 of the brown deck is revealed, the current player finishes their turn. Then the Queen covers the Marquis, the mini Queen card replaces the Marquis's Noble action, and all Decrees in the display go back to the box. From then on no Decrees can be gained.
