Night first. After setup, play a complete Night phase and then the first Day phase, so the very first turn is a full Night-and-Day cycle. Each player begins at 5 Prayer Points with 1 Divine Intervention (DI) card, then the opening Night adds 2 Prayer Points and a second DI card.
