Does the Companion have encounters, and how much do I pay if a Merchant and Companion share a place?
Several replies agree on the payments and the encounters.

The Companion has encounters like a Merchant stack: he can send another player's Family Member to the Police Station, and he follows the Merchant payment rules, so landing on a place with another player's Merchant and Companion costs 2 Lira for each, 4 in total. He can also use the Tavern encounter tile, but not the Tavern movement tile, which shows the Merchant.
