How does the bonus card that says not to move my Merchant work?
The card text says the Merchant stays but you have to use an Assistant again, and the normal movement-phase steps follow.

It counts as an ordinary move that ends where you stand. You must still use an Assistant: collect the one already on that place or leave one if none is there, you pay any other Merchants present, and you have the usual encounters. You never end up with two of your Assistants on one place. It is the only way to use the same place twice in a row.
