ISS Vanguard
What does the Vanguard symbol do on a die?
The rulebook's Vanguard entry and community posts agree; the old publisher diary only describes the prototype.

A Vanguard result counts as any one other Section die icon, even one that isn't on that die, so each Vanguard can satisfy one icon requirement or fill an 'any' slot in a Dice Combination. It still doesn't change the die's colour.
