Does rolling an accident end the dice check immediately?
Several players agree and no official ruling contradicts it.

Only when the check treats Accident as an Immediate Special Effect. That effect is resolved in step 7, so you can first change the die with Section cards or abilities in steps 4 and 5. If the Accident stays, the check ends, all dice are spent and the outcome the effect points to (often the red one) is resolved.
