What is the difference between the instigator and the player who triggers a clash?
The rulebook defines the instigator, and the forum clarifies the Morrigan case.

The instigator is the player who starts the clash, normally by moving in clans, or who is named by the card. They are the same except with The Morrigan, where the card player triggers the clash and chooses a present player as instigator. The instigator does not change during a clash, and Highlands only changes who starts the resolution.
