How does New Alliance (Replace) work?
You place one of your own clans in a territory where you already have clans, in place of one opposing clan there. Without a clan to place you cannot simply remove an opponent's clan. The replaced clan counts as replaced, not removed, so Dagda's Club cannot stop it.
