Is a house connected to a restaurant when a road only touches the house?
The designer confirmed that roads at the garden count, and players agree on the touching case.

Yes. A road touching the house connects it; it does not need to run alongside. Any road adjacent to the house tile works, including one next to its garden. Distance is measured to the house itself.
