A shop that lies on every shortest route sells its coffee even if the house's exact path is not determined. Rotating a restaurant entrance can create a shortest route past its shop, so both restaurants in the designer's example then sell coffee. If a house's own restaurant is on its tile, the zero-distance route is followed, so a shop off that route sells nothing.
