Can you play the base game with 5 or 6 players without Bellfaire?
Yes, with some tweaks. The designer says you can play the base game at 5 or 6 players as long as you have enough sets of worker meeples, but he would add things like an extra Forest location. The official 5-6 player rules and player powers come with Bellfaire, and its Market helps at higher counts.
