What happens if I don't fulfil a Distortion tile?
The publisher rules on the discovery tiles; the rest comes from player discussion.

The Rift Orbital and Rift Movement discovery tiles carry no penalty if unfulfilled, you just lose the bonus VP; other Distortion tiles carry a negative VP printed on their back. Players say anything you already gained stays. A fulfilled Distortion tile is discarded and an unfulfilled discovery one is removed from the game, which matters for Magellan scoring.
