Do I draw a Reputation tile if I retreat?
Official answers from the publisher or designer address this directly, and it fits the rulebook.
You lose only the tile for taking part, and only if all your ships in the hex retreat; ships you destroyed still earn tiles. A retreating fleet that dies on the way still counts as retreated. If a Starbase or another ship type stays and fights, you keep the participation tile.
