What happens to an unfinished mission when the day ends?

A mission recorded on your campaign tracker returns at the next setup, restarting from its first step unless the guide recorded a later one. Progress tokens, set-aside cards and anything else not recorded are lost. Missions you did not record, such as Helping Hand missions, must be finished in a single day or must be started again.
