If a card or the campaign guide says to travel immediately, do I still need the progress and cleared obstacles?

The progress point comes from the Living Valley wording quoted by players; the Obstacle point is a reading of the glossary, with no direct ruling.

You do not need the location's progress: an instruction to proceed to the travel phase lets you go regardless of the threshold. Obstacles are less settled: the Living Valley glossary says a ready Obstacle still blocks travel, so unless the card's own text says it ignores Obstacles, clear or exhaust them first. Spiderline-style travel effects only apply once the normal requirements are already met.
