Does Thufir Hawat enter play even if I do not want him?

Yes. He enters play when the Supremacy marker reaches step 1 and goes to the Harkonnen dashboard; deploying him is optional. Hawat in the Harkonnen set is the captured Hawat, now serving the Harkonnen, so the card is not a typo.
