Is a Harvester destroyed when a Sandworm appears in its Area, and does the worm stay?

A lone Harvester is removed unless a Carryall is discarded to save it, and the Sandworm stays on the board either way, since placing it is not an attack. If a Legion shares the Area, the Harvester dies only when the worm attacks and destroys the Legion. A Carryall saving it still leaves a Sandworm in the Area unless it attacked a Legion.
