What happens to a Legion in an Area where a Sandworm is placed in Desert Hazards?

It must retreat if it can, and the Sandworm stays on the board. If it cannot retreat, the Sandworm attacks it and is removed afterwards. In Action Resolution there is no retreat option, so the Legion takes the attack. Atreides Legions never have a worm placed on them.
