When you buy Messenger and gain a Knight, do the other players also gain a copy?
Experienced players apply the Messenger wording; the designer only confirmed the case where no card is gained.

No. Opponents gain a copy only of the exact card you gained, and differently named Knights do not match, so they gain nothing. If Messenger gains no card, nothing happens to the others.
