If Procession makes you play Prince, what happens?

Prince's first play can set itself and an Action aside, but its second play cannot set anything aside because Prince is no longer in play. Procession then cannot trash Prince either, since it lost track of the card, and it gains nothing. The designer confirmed this reading.
