Can Houdini take enemies with him or swap with figures behind locked doors?

No to both. Escape Artist places him on the other figure's space, so enemies in his old space neither follow nor catch fire. Players also ruled that a figure behind a closed door cannot be swapped with, since closed doors count as walls for other figures.
