On an open board, can I hide my disc behind a peg?
The rulebook's open-board requirement rules it out; hiding is only a house variant.

No under the standard rules: the shot must leave a disc inside or touching the 15 circle, so a disc tucked behind a post in the 10 or 5 ring is removed. Allowing hiding would be a house rule.
