Can a Magister copy a Diplomat, and can a Diplomat copy a Magister?
Yes, both are allowed. The copying card takes on the copied card and executes its action as if you had played it. A Diplomat cannot copy a Diplomat, and an infinite loop produces no legal target, so that play has no effect.
