Do I have to fight the monster when I enter a lair by boots or teleport?
Only Medusa forces the issue (fight or take 2 damage). You can enter the Sphinx's lair or a Living Statue's lair and interact without fighting. The Sphinx trophy is worth 1 point and 7 gold.
