If I'm knocked out with an Artifact, do I still score?
The rulebook says 0 points without an Artifact or in the Depths and gives the token to those who escape.

Only if you were not in the Depths. If you have no Artifact or are knocked out in the Depths (blue tiles or the top half of the starting tile) you score 0, even carrying an Artifact. If you're knocked out on a safe purple tile holding an Artifact, you score normally except you don't get the 20-point Mastery token, which only escaping earns.
