First resolve the active boss patterns on each heroine who did not match them, then total bullets and break shields, then resolve newly broken shields' effects, then heroines add intensity bullets from the bottommost shield slot, and finally a new pattern is revealed. A pattern revealed by a shield is therefore not resolved that round, and the shield check comes after the pattern check.
