Can I still win a battle if all my figures are destroyed during it?
Yes. If a card effect such as Odin's Smite removes all your figures before Strength is compared, you still take part in the battle and can win on the Strength of the card you played. Players call it a Pyrrhic victory and point to the full rulebook, page 18.
