Where do resources I spend in Prelude go, and when can I use them again?
The rulebook says spent resources return to the supply at the end of Prelude; the slot-freeing detail comes from agreeing forum posts.

They leave your board right away, freeing the slot, but go back to the supply only at the end of your Prelude. You can't regain that same token during the Prelude, though you may gain another one of the type from the supply or taxing.
