When do shields recharge, and where are damage markers placed?
A publisher post explained this and the rulebook says markers clear at return.

Shield icons sit on the ship's card in the Launch Bay wherever the ship is, so recharge happens there. All shield damage clears automatically when you Return to Station, and a repair action can remove one earlier.
